Het leven van twee Deense families wordt gevaarlijk wanneer de zonen een bijzondere vriendschap sluiten. Anton is een arts die pendelt tussen zijn huis in een idyllisch stadje in Denemarken en zijn werk in een Afrikaans vluchtelingenkamp. In deze twee totaal verschillende werelden worden hij en zijn gezin geconfronteerd met moeilijke keuzes tussen wraak en vergeving.
