In 2011 the third edition of International Film Festival Breda will take place. In 2008, the government of Breda and the province Noord-Brabant were looking for an event that would give Brabantstad (Breda, Tilburg, Den Bosch and Eindhoven) a stronger position to become a cultural capital. They looked for a suitable addition to BREDAPHOTO, the Graphic Design Museum and its festival and AKV I St Joost in which the aspect of film and art would play a mayor role.
After some orientation meetings the first steps were made for a unique festival in Breda: A film festival filled with art and crossovers between features, documentary’s, internet shorts and much more.
